BioFlora® Perks Up the Plants at SummerWinds Garden Centers

Apr 5, 2017
Employees at high-end garden and nursery retailer see distinct difference after BioFlora product application.
PHOENIX, AZ (August, 2016) – SummerWinds nursery locations in Arizona began carrying BioFlora’s lawn and garden line of organic plant and soil nutrients last spring. Employee Andrew Easton was familiar with products but hadn’t had the opportunity to see them in action. So when he and his coworkers at the Bethany Home Road location in Phoenix began using the products on the plants at the garden center, they were surprised by the immediate effects they observed. “When we used Seaweed Creme® as a foliar spray and as a soil drench at the same time, we saw that 90 percent of the plants had perked up within half an hour of receiving that treatment; it was actually visible,” said Easton. “We’ve also put the Seaweed Creme on our vegetables, and they really seem to like that. “ The staff members at SummerWinds have also been applying Seaweed Creme and Dry Crumbles® to help their plants and trees.  “We’ve seen some good results with them and with our houseplants,” said Easton. “The Dry Crumbles in particular are a substantial nutrient source for the plants, so when we put those down we start to see a significant difference in the plants within two weeks and sometimes within a week.” “They are definitely working and I am definitely happy with the results,” he said. SummerWinds customers who are already familiar with BioFlora products were delighted that their garden center is now carrying them on a regular basis. “The customers who switch and give it a shot are very pleased with it,” Easton added. “They are excited about the natural components of it and about it being produced locally and sustainably.” BioFlora products work by enriching the soil in which plants grow, an approach that’s proven effective over four decades.  “BioFlora products have delivered excellent results within the worldwide agricultural community over the past 40 years,” said Luke Blotsky, cofounder and CEO of Global Organics®, BioFlora’s parent company. “Now we are bringing that expertise to homeowners and service providers who take care of lawns and gardens.”
BioFlora’s lawn and garden products include:
  • Seaweed Creme: An organic growth stimulant that is made from hand-harvested, sun-dried and homogenized Ascophyllum Nodosum seaweed. Dozens of experiments have documented seaweed’s effectiveness in encouraging plant root and stem growth and creating plants that resist drought, frost and stress[1].
  • Dry Crumbles 6-10-1 + 10% Ca: An organic, dry fertilizer formulated to provide an excellent source of high-quality organic nutrients for all types of plants and lawns. Dry Crumbles contains a balanced blend of nitrogen, phosphorous, potassium, minor and trace minerals and high levels of calcium, which is a crucial regulator of growth and development in plants.[2]
  • Soil Source: An organic, biologically enhanced, humic acid soil additive, which provides a diverse spectrum of naturally occurring, beneficial microbes to build and restore soils. Healthy soils assist plant growth by cycling nutrients, minimizing runoff and retaining water.[3]

BioFlora products are available at SummerWinds’ Arizona locations (Glendale, Mesa, and two Phoenix locations) and will become available in all California locations in the near future.
