BioFlora Gets Involved with Community Garden on Earth Day

Apr 26, 2017
Leading Agriculture Division Donates More than Just Product
PHOENIX, AZ (April 2017) – Global Organics, a family-owned business for over 40 years, celebrated its’ “Helping Hands” initiative on Saturday, April 22nd by volunteering at the Community Garden at Desert Botanical Garden in Phoenix for Earth Day. BioFlora, a division of Global Organics, focused on plant health and nutrition, donated some of its top performing products to help out for the event. The community garden serves as a model that demonstrates best gardening practices in desert environments, promotes educational opportunities and fosters a sense of community for the Phoenix area. The garden is home to more than 35 raised beds and a dozen fruit trees producing organically grown vegetables, herbs and flowers throughout the year. With sleeves rolled up, 13 volunteers performed duties many gardeners will be familiar with to get the growing vegetables, fruits and herbs ready for the hot summer months. Volunteers worked hard to plant new trees, pull weeds, trim plants and spread groundcover – as well as several other tasks – throughout the morning. The positive spirit by everyone helped make the day memorable and a complete success! “This opportunity to give back to the community is part of the fabric of Global Organic’s culture” stated Luke Blotsky, CEO for the company. “This is our second event our Helping Hands volunteers have attended, and we look forward to many more opportunities to help our community and partner with like-minded organizations to support our belief in organic growing.” Global Organics’ leading division, BioFlora, specializes in producing organic and sustainable fertilizers and soil amendments for the agricultural industry, and recently launched a line of lawn and garden products so homeowners can experience the same results. Global Organics’s plans to continue work with the community garden throughout the year by donating its organic offerings and spreading the benefits of BioFlora products. Every day, the team at Global Organics works hard with the sole purpose of preserving Mother Earth’s natural resources and providing everything needed for success from the ground up.
