Roger
Blotsky began his career in agriculture in 1966 as
a salesman calling on farmers for Skelly Oil Company.
His travels brought him under the tutelage of Dr.
Cary Reams, a world renown pioneer in organic agriculture
who, recognizing his burning commitment to revive
the principle of organic farming, chose to make Roger
his protégé. Four years of study and
field trials led to the founding of The Early Harvest
Company in 1970 in Aberdeen, South Dakota. By 1979
the business was thriving but Blotsky had grown tired
of Midwest winters. |
 |
| In
1980, when the opportunity arose to sell the
business, Blotsky moved to Goodyear, Arizona
and started business as BioFlora, Inc.
By 1988 BioFlora, Inc. had become a $6 million
company with a national reputation for quality
products. |

During
the ensuing years, Roger developed an international
reputation as a formulator of organic plant foods
and soil conditioners for both organic and conventional
growers. Customers include one of the world's largest
grower of organically grown table grapes and one of
California's largest stone fruit producer, both who
have been using BioFlora products for the last decade.
Traditional chemical fertilization focuses on the
short term needs of crops, often at the cost of reduced
soil fertility and biological potential. |
Following the concept that "Nature Knows Best",
the company has developed organic and organic-based products
that sustain natural biological systems.
These
products provide for a long term healthy soil with
resultant higher quality crops. The company is increasing
its influence and impact which will bring more public
attention to this important work. The pendulum is
swinging toward more healthy soil that produces more
healthy food that produces more healthy people!
Roger and son Luke manage Global Organics and affiliated
companies, BioKool, BioFlora,
and Green Acres Farm. |
