BioFlora Compost

Global Organics' Green Acres Farm is the site of our thermophilic composting operation. This 40 acre site receives, daily, 75 -100 tons of horse stall straw for 9 consecutive months. Compost Fields@ Green Acres

BioFlora Compost windrows The straw/horse manure mixture is laid out in north to south windrows, 1000 feet in length; dairy manure is added; the windrows are injected with water and simultaneously turned.
Heat (150-155 degrees F.) is retained for 2 weeks to destroy pathogens and weed seed. Moisture is held at 45% through bacterial mineralization.

After windrows are cool(approximately 90 days), humic acid is injected at a rate of 6 gallons per ton and turned.		 BioFlora Compost rows
BioFlora Compost in bulk bags This "finished" product is spread on the farm's acreage; screened to 3/16 for bulk use on turf or screened to 3/16 and bagged with additions of fish, seaweed and blue-green algae for home and landscape use
